In January the earth violently shook in Haiti for 55 seconds but the devastation around the epic center was tremendous.  The latest report is that about 230,000 people perished and the count continues to rise.  A couple million people are homeless.  VisionVestors has responded to this great need.  We already had planned service projects working in Haiti when the quake occurred.  We are working to provide clean water through well projects. We assist in education by providing school supplies to schools which meet in churches due to no public education in most areas.  We also help in stimulating economic development through training and micro-finance.  We have great people on the ground in Haiti providing trusted leadership and strong efforts to meet our compassion objectives.

Fortunately our people were in an area in the country that received little damage.  (Many of them did lose family and friends.) However, homeless refugees from the devastated cities are moving into those areas to find shelter, provision and the hope of a new life.  We are strategically positioned to provide great comfort, care and spiritual help.  Our churches and people are there to help.  To homes which are exploding from the homeless, we have provided water, food and milk for children.  We have helped people seeking medical attention but with no money for treatment.  We are stepping up our efforts by sending relief funds.  We have received funds and continue to do so.  We are also sending a VV Service Team to Haiti April 13-20 as a special envoy of care, compassion and carrier of needed supplies.  You can help two ways.
